ISPO Canada Symposium - October 22-24, 2009

The 2009 Symposium will have the theme "Prosthetics and Orthotics Care for People with Diabetes" and will be held in Toronto, Ontario on the Sunnybrook and Women's College Health Sciences Centre Campus. New for 2009 are manufacturers workshops on the Thursday, October 22. Check the symposium web page for more information.

Clifford Chadderton Award for Prosthetic and Orthotic Research

Submissions for the Clifford Chadderton Award for Prosthetic and Orthotic Research are being reviewed. The winner will present at the 2009 Symposium. The next competition will be in 2011, check the web site for details.

ICRC Manufacturing Guidelines Now Available On-line

The ICRC manuals for polypropylene technology are now available on their web site.

Revisions to the Prosthetics and Orthotics Lexicon

The P&O Lexicon/Dictionary is an on-line tool for looking up definitions from over 1,000 clinical, technical and biomechanical terms. We are completing integration of ISO Standard Terminology into the database. A new interface should be online by the end of 2009 with easy identification of international standard terminology.

Prosthetics and Orthotics International, the official journal of ISPO, is published by Taylor & Francis. Institutional subscriptions include on-line access, with full-text articles available as Acrobat (PDF) files.
